Last e-mail day today... I asked Derek how he is doing and feeling now that his mission is ending.
"well what do i say........really i dont know what to say but that it has a been a grand adventure that i wouldnt trade for all the gold in the world. really i feel like it has been so long yet so short. i never pictured myself in this moment writing you the last email in the mission. no more messages, i will be able to just tell you things face to face and wow how crazy that will be. it is hard to describe how i feel right now. i feel like it is has gone by so fast and that i am not ready to go home and i dont know how it is going to be to go and face the real world with all the challenges and the temptations and all the things that go on in life. in the mission you don't have anything to worry about except your investigators and that is it, and well you are completly the Saviors tool and well really i am sure i will never feel the same as i feel right now, being dedicated to the work of the Lord, there is nothing like it. i have learned grand lessons and things that will help me my whole life, it is a grand blessing i have been blessed with to be here and a bigger blessing to have parents so loving that have been there for me all this time. thank you for your inspiring emails every week and i will be looking forward and not looking forward to seeing you in a couple days haha. i dont know what life will be like after but i will see shortly haha and well i dont know i am going to die speaking english again... thank you for all your love and support you have shown me in these two years. love you all, talk to you soon and see you soon -- love your son ELDER REID (for one more week)."

Blythe called me on her lunch to ask me to read it to her and I couldn't do it without crying. Tears, happy loving grateful tears. What a wonderful journey it's been.
